Pressure Washer Surface Cleaner

Looking to clean a big outdoor area? Use a pressure washer surface cleaner.

A pressure washer surface cleaner is specifically designed to clean large outdoor surfaces with ease.  There are two basic types that operate in very different ways to get the job done.  Not unlike an indoor floor buffer, pressure washer surface cleaners use a combination of bristles and pressure from water or steam, to effectively clean wooden and concrete surfaces.

These are extremely handy for cleaning any outdoor surface for your driveway, to your deck or patio.  Grime can easily build up on any surface, and a surface cleaner will have the outside of your home just as clean as the inside.

One of the main factors to consider, is which type of surface cleaner is right for you.  The two major types of surface cleaners use either steam pressure, or water pressure.  Depending upon the surface you’re cleaning, both will have different results.  A steam cleaner is best reserved for wooden environments, as water pressure can be harmful to the surface of the wood.

A steam cleaner is a gentler way to clean up any grease or grime that builds up on your deck throughout the years.  Just as effective as water, because steam doesn’t use as much harsh pressure, you don’t run the risk of the wood splintering away, because of the high amount of pressure being used.

Water pressure is best reserved for jobs like concrete.  Because water is usually kicked out with a lot more force than steam, it could harm the surface of a deck or patio.  Concrete also tends to be more apt to collect harder to clean grit and grime, which requires much more pressure to remove.

Water pressure surface cleaners provide more water PSI which will wipe away grit and dirt, and also feature tough bristles to clean up any of the grime that isn’t sprayed away immediately.  This is useful for surfaces that build up an excess of grime and grease for garage or driveway floors.

Depending upon how often you’ll be using a pressure washer surface cleaner, you may want to consider renting one instead of purchasing a unit.  Most decks and patios don’t require regular intense cleaning, and a garage floor is always going to be dirty.  But a pressure cleaner can come in handy if you’ve just done a lot of work on your car, and need to clean up the grime and oil that has formed on the floor.  For those purposes a rental is the best option, and any national retail chain like Home Depot will have exactly what you need.

To purchase a pressure washer surface cleaner, you can either use the same type of chain like Lowe’s or Home Depot, or use an internet resource like Amazon.com.  Internet retailers tend to be much cheaper, but also don’t afford you the opportunity to get a look at the unit beforehand.

So when shopping online make sure to read customer reviews, so that you can research any problems other users have had.  That way you can ensure you get the right pressure washer surface cleaner for the job you need to perform.
